The Family Guide to Special Education Services for school-age children was created by the New York City Department of Education to provide parents and guardians with information on how to access special education services. The Parent Information and Resource Center can also help parents and guardians learn about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and its requirements.
